  • Wild Supercharged ’86 Buick (1100 Horsepower)

Wild Supercharged ’86 Buick (1100 Horsepower)

I couldn’t help but share this video. This car is 1100 hp supercharged. In my opinion, it’s what dreams are made of haha. I have an 86 Oldsmobile so this year of the car holds a special spot in my heart. And for anybody that doesn’t know anything from 78 to 88 that was made by General Motors is considered a G body. This includes Pontiac Grand Prix, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Chevy Monte Carlo, Buick Riviera, the grand national, or the T type, as well as the El Camino’s of all different kinds now there are a few variations frame and body type over the years but essentially an 86 Buick T type is the same frame originally that my car would’ve been on.

However, there is nothing about this car that’s related to anything I’ve ever sat in. In the video, the owner who is also piloting this beast describes, that he blew up the original motor while using it for autocross. He says this crazy one-of-a-kind car project just snowballed after he decided to do an LS swap with supercharger. It is also a full-weight car at roughly 3800 pounds as well as it has huge 335 tires on all four corners, a full roll cage, and a sequential six-speed gearbox. As you’ll see in this awesome video this guy absolutely rips through the years and can seemingly smoke the tires that will.

Which for me is so fun and did I mention it’s a completely street-legal car?

In my books doesn’t get any cooler than this. Hope you enjoy it.

CRAZY Driving by 17-year-old Oliver Solberg in a 600hp Citroën DS3 RallyCross Supercar!

This video is courtesy of 19Bozzy92 I have no affiliation but love channel.

I’ve really been feeling the vibe of these rally videos lately.

I don’t know if I would have the guts to ride in one of these let alone drive one at this speed on these tiny little roads but this kid is 17 named  Oliver Solberg is wild, he goes all out.

There was a comment in the YouTube video that said he drives his car like he’s able to respawn. It’s true though he drives it like it’s a video game in this is a 600-horsepower Citreon

  • Chad McQueen was Cobra Kai?

    Chad McQueen was Cobra Kai?

Stick with me folks, this is about cars. Those who may not know or may not be old enough to have heard of or seen “Bullitt” the iconic movie starring Steve McQueen.

Well Chad McQueen is his son.

He played “Dutch” in The Karate Kid I and the beginning of Karate Kid II.
Well, I was binge-watching Cobra Kai on Netflix and I wondered why the blonde smartass kid Dutch, wasn’t in the new series. I Googled for the answer and my mind was blown. I must have watched the Karate Kid 100 times in my life and I clearly haven’t ever read the credits.
Luckily, I am not the only one I shared this gem with others and they were just as surprised.

Chad is off driving race cars, and scheduling just didn’t work out. At first, I said Oh, wow this sucks!… Then I realized I am jealous….what a life. He races cars and loves it.

I saw this Lotus in downtown Victoria and managed to chat with the owner for a few seconds. I believe this one is 2014 ( this model was made from 2010 to 2014.) I definitely have a soft spot for Lotus cars. I have always thought of Lotus as the average person’s supercar. What I mean by that is not everyone can afford a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or even a Corvette. However, the Lotus models have the sexy look of the aformentioned cars, as well as being light and sporty for a fraction of the cost.

    1946 Ford

This beauty is Bob Collins’ Custom 1946 Ford.

This is a beautiful custom job for this 46 Ford. It seems like everything imaginable has been done to this car. When I spoke to Bob he gave me the rundown.

It’s a 350 Chevy motor with a turbo 350 transmission and an 8 inch Ford rear end. It cruises down the road and Highway comfortably what’s 3.00 gears.

    350 Chev Small Block

It was built by a hot rodder in New York between 2010-2016 by two separate guys. ( If I could find the names of the original builders I’ll give them credit here later on).

It has air ride suspension and killer suicide doors. And the special awesome paint is called Glade green pearl by House of kolor

The second of the two builders shaved all the bumpers, handles and signal lights. He also frenched in the headlights and suicide doors.

  • Henry Ford’s Quadricycle: The Birth of an Automotive Revolution

Henry Ford’s Quadricycle: The Birth of an Automotive Revolution

On June 4, 1896, a young engineer named Henry Ford made history by driving his very first automobile—the Quadricycle. This simple yet groundbreaking invention marked the beginning of Ford’s journey toward revolutionizing transportation and mass production.

    The Birth of the Quadricycle

At the time, Ford was working as an engineer at the Edison Illuminating Company in Detroit, but his passion for mechanical innovation led him to experiment with automobiles. He built the Quadricycle in a tiny workshop behind his house, using bicycle wheels, a gasoline-powered engine, and a lightweight frame. Unlike the heavy, steam-powered vehicles of the era, Ford’s Quadricycle was nimble and relatively simple.

    Specifications and Performance

Black and white picture of the ford quadricycle

The Quadricycle was powered by a two-cylinder, four-horsepower gasoline engine. It had a simple transmission with only two gears—no reverse—and it could reach a top speed of about 20 mph (32 km/h). It was steered using a tiller rather than a conventional steering wheel, reminiscent of early bicycles and boats. The vehicle had no roof, no brakes, and minimal safety features, but it proved that personal motorized transport was achievable.

    The First Test Drive

On the night of June 4, Ford and his friends put the Quadricycle to the test. There was just one problem—the vehicle was too wide to fit through the workshop door! In true inventive spirit, Ford and his team quickly broke down part of the wall to get the Quadricycle outside. Once on the road, Ford’s creation performed remarkably well, confirming his vision for the future of automobiles.

    Legacy and Impact

The success of the Quadricycle fueled Ford’s ambition to build better automobiles. Just a few years later, in 1903, he founded the Ford Motor Company, leading to the creation of the Model T in 1908—the car that made automobiles accessible to the masses. The Quadricycle now resides in the Henry Ford Museum, a testament to Ford’s ingenuity and the humble beginnings of the automotive revolution.

Henry Ford’s first ride in the Quadricycle was more than just a test drive—it was the spark that ignited a global transformation in transportation and industry. This little four-wheeled invention proved that automobiles were not just a luxury but an essential part of modern life.

What do you think was Ford’s biggest breakthrough after this?

  • 1979 VW Bug Convertible

    1979 VW Bug Convertible

This little beauty is a ’79 Volkswagen Beetle / Bug.
Candace is a member of the Cool Vehicles Community. She has shared pictures of her classic bug on our FaceBook Page: https://www.facebook.com/coolvehicles.ca.
It is a daily driver for Candace and it is a convertible. Which means….this is Cool!

The first VW bug was built around 1938. I say “around” because there are stories of Ferdinand Porsche working on it long before then.

There were millions of these bugs built over the years; however 1979 stands out in my book because it was the final year of the “original” production in North America. Which meant, here is Canada ’79 was last year you could get the bug (see what I did there?).

31 years later thanks to the love, care and a slight obsession Candace keeps on cruisin’.

Some of you will read this and say “What about the new model of beetle?”
Yes, they did bring back the Beetle in 1997. I am sure I will do a write up one in future. I can tell you now with great certainty that I do not and will not compre the “original” and the “remake. They are two different cars and should be treated as such.
